The Baquacil pool water testing kit comes with full instructions and will provide you with 20 water tests. Includes 20 Phenol Red (pH) test tablets, 20 Peroxtest No 1 and Peroxtest No 2 test tablets (Hydrogen Peroxide), 20 PHMB test tablets (Baquacil), a colour comparitor style tester (with pH range from 6.8 - 8.2, H202 range from 5 - 50mg/l and PHMB range from 0 - 100mg/l), brush and plastic pestle.

All tablets are contained in blister packs ensuring simple transfer to comparitor chamber.

It is essential that you do not touch the individual test tablets when transferring from the blister pack as contaminents on your fingers can adversely affect the readings.

Instructions for use

H202 Test

  1. Remove the lid and rinse the comparitor Pooltester block in the swimming pool
  2. Fill the Pooltester by dipping it into the swimming pool water to a minimum depth of 20cm
  3. Add a Peroxtest No 1 and a Peroxtest No 2 reagent tablet to the left compartment of the comparitor
  4. Compare the colour of the left hand sample with the colour scale for H2O2
  5. Rinse the Pooltester after use with clean tap water.

PHMB/pH Tests

  1. Remove the lid and rinse the comparitor Pooltester block in the swimming pool
  2. Fill the Pooltester by dipping it into the swimming pool water to a minimum depth of 20cm
  3. Add a PHMB reagent tablet to the right compartment of the comparitor
  4. Add a Phenol Red reagent tablet to the left compartment of the comparitor
  5. Replace the lid and gently shake the Pooltester until the reagents have dissolved
  6. Compare the colour of the right hand sample with the colour scale for PHMB
  7. Compare the colour of the left hand sample with the colour scale for pH
  8. Rinse the Pooltester after use with clean tap water.

Recommended values

The ideal range for pH is 7.0 - 7.4,  h2O2 is 30mg/l and PHMB is 30mg/l.
