Hot Tub & Spa FAQS

Q: Do you have spas on display at your showroom?
A: Yes, All Swim is one of Spaform's top European dealers and has a range of 6 Spaform spas on display and also has a wet-test facility if required.

Q: Why are our spas so inexpensive compared to North American Spas?
A: Firstly, Spaform spas are made here in England . The cost of shipping and the conversion required to meet European approved standards along with the high profits made by the importer and dealer make very high prices not necessarily special spas.

Q: What warranties come with the spa?
Every single spa is thoroughly tested before leaving the factory. The integrity of the spa shells are guaranteed for ten years and are made from the highest quality high temperature acrylic available and are bonded using Spaform's unique ‘Duo bond' reinforcing systems with superior strength and insulating properties. All Spaform portable spas come with the following warranties:

Area Spaform Classic Portables Spaform Prestige Portables
SPA SHELL - Not leak due to defects in fibre glass structure 10 Years 10 Years
SPA SURFACE - Not peel, blister, crack or delaminate 1 Years 3 Years
PUMPS - Not fail due to defects in workmanship or materials 3 Years 3 Years
AIR BLOWER - Not fail due to defects in workmanship or materials 3 Years 3 Years
HEATER & CONTROLS - Not fail due to defects in workmanship or materials 3 Years 3 Years
PLUMBING - Not leak due to defects in workmanship or materials 1 Years 2 Years
OZONE - Not fail due to defects in workmanship or materials 1 Years 1 Years
COVER - Shall be free from defects caused by faulty workmanship or materials 1 Years 1 Years
CABINET - Shall be free from defects by faulty workmanship or materials 1 Years 3 Years

All components are industry standard, which means they can be purchased off the shelf here in the UK and also in Europe. Unlike many imported spas, where the spa unit is CE approved but the individual electrical components themselves do not comply with European standards of safety.

Q: Why are Spaform spas not foam filled under the shell?
A: The simple answer is that a Spaform spa does not need to be. Spaform's unique 'duo bond' reinforcing system ensures superior strength and insulation. Foam filling is used on some spas to support a weaker shell construction and due to it's stringent licensing laws, ABS backing with foam filling is used as a cheaper alternative. Foam filling is also used in spas for use in climates with extreme temperatures e.g. Canada –25 o c. These spas in a European climate can then overheat due to too much insulation. It is a common misnomer that spa running costs are directly affected by insulation, in fact the number and size of pumps and frequency of running is the major factor. For example, A typical circ pump (or low speed pump) and heater typically draws 11 amps, but a spa with all pumps and jets running can draw up to 40 amps.

Q: Who are Spaform and are they reputable?
A: Spaform is the largest European spa manufacturer and has been manufacturing for over 20 years in the UK for the UK and the European market. They also have the largest product range in the world, and are accredited with EN ISO 9002, CE, T.U.V, and N.S.P.I (National Spa and Pool Institute) and have been manufacturing spas since 1982.

Q: Once I have purchased my spa, will I be able to obtain spare parts?
A: There are many owners of imported spas who wished they had asked this question. Spaform spas are manufactured here in the UK and all spares are stocked at their Portsmouth manufacturing HQ as well as with their regional engineers.

Q: Once I have purchased my spa, does All Swim offer aftersales care including maintenance and the supply of chemicals and accessories?
A: Absolutely! All Swim began trading 33 years ago, specialising in the supply of chemicals and accessories for pools and spas. We can supply, free of charge, a mail order guide and water treatment guide and can offer help with water treatment over the phone or can analyse your water sample free of charge in our showroom.
