While Stocks Last
Ask anyone thinking about investing in a swimming pool and one of their major concerns is running costs.
The latest generation of swimming pool heat pumps actually harness the free heat in the air; the sun doesn't need to shine for the heat pump to work!
So how does a heat pump work? Quite simply, a heat pump is a refrigerator working in reverse, so the technology is proven and they are noted for their reliability.
The heat pump draws the outside air through an evaporator which collects the free heat from the air, which even at a paltry 10°C, amounts to five free units for every two you pay for. The heat collected is passed through a compressor and on to a condenser through which the swimming pool water is pumped on its way from the filter and back to the pool.
The pool owner doesn't want the trouble of constantly monitoring the heating of his pool so most heat pumps are fully automatic and need but one control the pool water thermostat!
Calorex heat pumps are manufactured to suit a large variety of applications. The Ambient range will successfully heat the pool water throughout a typical UK summer season, operating when outside air temperatures exceed 7 degrees centigrade. The Calorex pool water heat exchangers are of high quality to ensure maximum resistance to pool chemical corrosion. All models listed are covered by a three year parts and labour warranty in the UK.
Note: All Calorex heat pumps require 2 x p/ft socket unions for installation.
