Swimming pool slide valves are a specific type of gate valve designed for use in swimming pool plumbing systems. They are used to control the flow of water through the pool system and are particularly useful in plant rooms with limited space.

Swimming pool slide valves operate in the same way as other slide valves, with a gate or wedge-shaped disc that is raised or lowered to allow or restrict flow. The valve is operated with a lever and valves should be installed in a location that is easily accessible for use, maintenance and repairs.
