Fi-Clor Superfast Granules have 15% more available chlorine than standard calcium hypochlorite and a fine particle size, eliminating the need for pre-dissolving prior to application.

Application Instructions;

(Routine Disinfection) - Do not mix with other products and do not pre dissolve.

1. Test your chlorine level with your test kit or test strips.

2. Calculate the volume of pool water

3. Calculate the dosage rate based on 70g per 11,000 gallons (50 m³) of pool water to increase chlorine level by 1ppm.

4. Distribute evenly over a wide area in the deepest part of the pool.  Do not apply when bathers are swimming.  For outdoor use, avoid facing the wind direction when dosing.

(Shock Treatment) - For green or cloudy water

1. Calculate the volume of pool water

2. Thoroughly brush off any algae clinging to the pool surface.

3. Adjust the pH to 7.0.

4. Add 700g per 50m³ (11,000 gallons) of water, broadcasting the product evenly over a wide area in the deepest part of the pool.  Do not apply the product when bathers are present. For outdoor use avoid facing the wind when dosing.  A double dose may be required for heavy algae problems.

5. Run the filter for 24 hours then backwash and vacuum the pool thoroughly.  Any remaining haziness in the water should then be removed using a water clarifier or floculant.

6. To help prevent a reocurrence, ensure that the free chlorine levels never fall below 1mg/l (1ppm) for unstabilised or 2mg/l (2 pp,) for stabilised chlorine pools.  Also dose the pool with a long life algicide to help prevent algae growth.

Precautions;

  • Always add the product to water not the other way around.  Never spill water on this product, as it can react violently with even small amounts of water.
  • Wear suitable eye and face protection.
  • If a measuring cap is provided only use it to measure out this product not for additional products.
  • Do not pour the product onto the water surface if bathers are present.
  • Keep this product in a dry, well ventilated place where average daily temperatures do not exceed 25ºC.
