Chemical Safety and Hazard Warning Tips

Read instructions on each product thoroughly before use.
Never mix different chemicals, including cleaning products, weed-killers and chlorine products as a dangerous reaction may occur.
When pre-dissolving chemicals always add chemicals to water and never vice-versa.
Always pre-dissolve chemicals in a separate dedicated clean plastic container.
Always handle chemicals in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors.
Never use unlabelled chemicals.
Store chemicals in a secure, dry and cool place, in their original containers and away from any sources of ignition e.g. petrol.
Keep chemicals away from children and animals.
Never smoke whilst handling chemicals.
Avoid spillage. In the event of a spillage, clean up using clean receptacles and dispose of in the pool, swimspa or hot tub. Flush area thoroughly with a large volume of fresh water.
Before disposing of empty containers, rinse them thoroughly in the pool.
Always wash hands after handling pool chemicals.

Calcium hardness is the measurement of dissolved calcium in the water. For swimming pools, calcium hardness should be maintained at a minimum of 200 mg/l (ppm). Low levels can harm the pool and its equipment. Test the calcium hardness level of the pool water and if it is below 200 mg/l (ppm) use Bayrol Hardness Plus to increase the level.

Application Instructions for Hardness Plus

Pre-dissolve the granules in a clean plastic container to a maximum quantity of 100g of granules to 10L of fresh cold water.
Stir well until granules are fully dissolved.
Apply solution near the inlets and with the circulation pump running.
Repeat application to achieve the total dose required-(See Table Below)
It is reccomended that the total dosing quantity is split into three equal applications with a minimum of 8 hours between each.
Following dosing the pool water may appear cloudy, leave the circulation pump running until the water has cleared.
Test water and adjust pH if necessary to an ideal range between 7.0-7.4.

Wear eye and face protection and ensure granules are not blown back into your face.
Never mix with other chemicals including household cleaners as a dangerous reaction may occur.
When pre-dissolving always add product to water and not vice versa.

Handling/Storage

Handle products in a well ventilated area - preferably outdoors.
Wash hands after use.
Ensure chemicals do not become damp in storage - store in a cool dry place.
