The On-The-Go Portable Water Softener is the perfect solution for hot tub owners living in hard water areas. Compatible with both the Caldera FreshWater® Salt System and the Hot Spring ACE® Salt Water System, this portable unit requires no tools or plumbing experience - simply attach to your hose and begin filling.

Using ion exchange technology, the built-in resin beads remove hardness minerals like calcium and magnesium as water passes through, replacing them with soft sodium ions. This not only protects your spa from scale build-up but also ensures a more pleasant, gentle soaking experience.

Regeneration Made Simple:

When the resin is saturated, regenerate your softener using 750g of regular table salt. Follow the included instructions to flush the system and restore performance. Be aware that very hard water may temporarily flow after regeneration, so always test before refilling your spa.

Water Hardness Levels:

For saltwater spas, aim for calcium hardness between 25–75 ppm. Traditional spas should maintain between 75–150 ppm.
