Lo-Chlor Filter Cleaner and Degreaser is designed to clean and degrease filters.

What Advantages Does It Have Over Other Similar Products?

• Lo-Chlor Filter Cleaner and Degreaser uses an advanced formulation for the cleaning and degreasing of Diatomaceous Earth (DE) filters and cartridge filter grids.
• It may be used with all types of sand filters.
• Removes grime, dead algae, oil, organic deposits as well as scale and unwanted metals.

Professional Tips

• Never add Lo-Chlor Filter Cleaner and Degreaser to the pool water.
• For cartridge and DE filters best results will be obtained when the soiled elements are hosed, to remove as much debris as possible, before using Lo-Chlor Filter Cleaner and Degreaser.
• Also hose well before re-assembly after using Lo-Chlor Filter Cleaner and Degreaser.
• We recommend that the sand filters be cleaned at least once a year.
• Cartridge and DE filters should always be cleaned as necessary.
• When closing the pool down for winter it is also recommended that the filter is cleaned as part of the shutdown program.

Dose Rates

Cartridge Filters And Diatomaceous Earth Filters

1. Dismantle filter and hose elements to remove all surface debris.
2. Add 1 litre of Lo-Chlor Filter Cleaner and Degreaser to 50 litres of cold water in a suitable clean plastic container.
3. Place the filter elements into the diluted solution.
4. Allow to soak for 24 hours.
5. Rinse thoroughly and re-assemble filter and resume normal filtration.

Sand Filters

1. Turn off the filter. Block off all pool return lines.
2. Undo the filter cover.
3. Mix 1 litre of product to 10 litres of cold water, in a suitable clean plastic bucket and pour directly into the filter housing. Do not add directly to the pool!
4. Allow to stand for 24 hours.
5. After 24 hours backwash filter thoroughly and follow up with the 'rinse' cycle (if available) for ten seconds.
6. Resume normal filter operation.
