PoolSolar Heating Kit

The installation of PoolSolar heating is a low cost pool water heating solution during the summer for above ground or inground swimming pools. Utilise the sun's energy free of charge with PoolSolar and say goodbye to paying a small fortune to heat your swimming pool water! Available in either 4m² or 5m² size kits which can be connected together if necessary for the pool size (providing there is sufficient space for installation).

How Does PoolSolar Work?

Filtered pool water passes through strips of EPDM* (Ehtyleen Propyleen-Diene_Monomer) PVC Solar Matting and is then heated via the sun's rays. The matting is pre-fitted to P.V.C manifolds that are connected to each other, then the manifolds are plumbed directly to the filtration plant. The amount of PoolSolar you require will depend upon the size of your pool. 

*EPDM is an elastomeric compound made from Ehtyleen Propyleen-Diene-Monomer (EPDM). These ingredients are synthesised to produce a product that boasts superior resistance to acids, alkali's, oxygenated solvents, UV radiation and thermal shock. EPDM is not susceptible to low temperature fragility - it won't shatter or become brittle in the cold. EPDM is sustainable and can be recycled into manufacturing other products, minimising any impact on the environment. It is also long-lasting, with a potential life of 15-20 years. 

A capable DIY enthusiast should be easily able to install Poolsolar, which is supplied in either a 4 or 5m kit box and contains all the necessary components for you to install a solar collector. Please note pool plumbing is not included and, for roof installations, support angles and adhesive will also be required.

The Manifolds (headers) are made of Polypropylene. You cannot glue polypropylene headers, therefore plumbing adaptors are supplied to connect the pool pipework.

The 5m² kit contains 3 solar collectors, each 33cm wide by 5m long and 10 metres of nylon band. All other contents are the same as the 4m² kit.

5 Year Warranty: 

PoolSolar warrants the solar collectors to be free from defects in material and workmanship and to perform under normal use and service for five years from the date of purchase receipt, providing that the solar collector has been installed in accordance with Poolsolar installation instructions. The warranty is limited to the original customer purchaser and is not assignable.

Repair: If a defect in materials or workmanship becomes evident during normal use and service within five years, we will supply replacement parts free of charge, within a reasonable time, without transportation costs (limited to United Kingdom).

What is not covered:

PoolSolar will not be liable for:

Consequential damages to your home or other equipment, loss of time, inconvenience or loss of use of the solar collector.
Conditions resulting from a defect in a component or part which is not part of the Poolsolar collector.
Conditions resulting from any misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, or alteration of the solar collector.
Conditions resulting, from significant deviation from Poolsolar installation instructions.
Conditions resulting from fire, lightning, floods, winds, accidents, animal damage or other conditions above our control.

These warranties are the only warranties and it is understood that no other warranties are expressed or implied without otherwise being agreed in writing.

NOTE:- for long pipe runs and for where the panels are elevated onto roofs etc, the pump supplied with your pool may not deliver sufficient flow-rate to circulate around the pool. In the instance a booster pump may be required.
