Blue Horizons Filter Cleaner

Blue Horizons Filter Cleaner is used to remove oils and greases from both sand and cartridge filters rapidly restoring your filters efficiency.

Application Instructions

IMPORTANT - ALWAYS WEAR RUBBER GLOVES AND EYE PROTECTION WHEN USING THIS PRODUCT.

Sand Filters:

1. Backwash the filter thoroughly, then turn the pump off.
2. Pour the required amount of Blue Horizons Filter Cleaner into the pump basket and secure the lid.
3. Turn the pump on for 2-3 seconds only, until the Filter Cleaner moves into the filter.  Then leave switched off for 12 hours allowing the Filter Cleaner to penetrate and cleanse the media.
4. Backwash the filter thoroughly until the backwash water runs clear.

Cartridge Filters:

1. Remove cartridge and place in a clean plastic container holding enough clean water to allow complete immersion of the cartridge.
2. Add 1 litre of Filter Cleaner per 20 litres of water ensuring the cartridge is fully immersed.
3. Allow to stand for a minimum of 8 hours, then carefully remove cartridge from the solution and rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
4. Allow the cartridge element to dry before returning it to service.

General Precautions

Dosing

• Never mix with any other chemicals including cleaning products and chlorine products, as a dangerous reaction may occur.

Handling/Storage

• Handle products in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors.
• Wash hands after use.
• Ensure chemicals do not become damp in storage - store in a cool dry place.
