What Is a Traditional Sauna?

A traditional sauna works by heating the air inside the cabin using a powerful electric sauna heater filled with sauna stones. As the heater warms the stones, the air temperature rises - typically reaching between 70°C and 90°C.

Water can be poured over the heated stones to create steam (known as “löyly” in Finnish culture). This increases humidity and intensifies the heat sensation, providing a deep, full-body experience.
