HTH Shock (Calcium Hypochlorite)

Restore sparkling, healthy pool water quickly with HTH Fast Dissolving Shock Granules. Formulated with high-grade calcium hypochlorite (78% available chlorine), this unstabilised chlorine shock treatment delivers instant disinfection and clears cloudy or green water fast.

Application Instructions for Shock Chlorine Granules

1. Ensure that the filtration is on.
2. Adjust the pH is between 7.0 and 7.4.
3. In outdoor pools, maintain a stabiliser concentration of between 25 and 50 mg/l.
4. Distribute the product as close as possible to the water, in front of the return inlet(s).
5. For shock chlorination on (re)commissioning or in case of green/cloudy water, allow 15 grams per m³ of water. For example 150g = 10m³
6. Check chlorine content before allowing bathing.
7. For a standard dose, allow 1.5 grams per m³ of water to raise content by 1mg/l.

General Precautions

• Wear eye and face protection and ensure granules are not blown back into your face.
• Never mix with any other chemicals including cleaning products and chlorine products, as a dangerous reaction may occur.
• Do not pour this product into a pool skimmer basket containing chlorine tablets or any other product.
• When pre-dissolving product always add to water not vice versa.
  
  

Handling/Storage

• Handle products in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors.
• Wash hands after use.
• Ensure chemicals do not become damp in storage - store in a cool dry place.
