Chemical Dosage Calculator

See how much Aquasparkle Hardness Plus Calcium Chloride (Raises Calcium Hardness) to use in our Chemical Dosage Calculator

The ideal spa calcium hardness levels are between 100 - 200mg/l(ppm), promoting 'balanced' water and protection of spa plant equipment. Test the calcium hardness level of the spa water and if it is below 100mg/l (ppm) use Aquasparkle Spa Hardness Plus to increase the level.

Application Instructions

  1. Pre-dissolve the product in a clean plastic container at a maximum rate of 10g of product per 0.2 gallons (lt) of clean cold water. Stir well to ensure product is fully dissolved. Add the resulting solution to the spa whilst the pump(s) are turned "on", preferably near to the water inlets to aid distribution.
  2. The total amount of Spa Hardness Plus required can be calculated using the dosing table below. This should be split into 3, adding one third every 30 minutes.
Water Volumes Dose Rates
Litres Gallons To Increase Calcium Hardness By 10mg/l (ppm) To Increase Calcium Hardness By 25mg/l (ppm)
1,000 220 15g 38g
1,500 330 23g 56g

General Precautions

Dosing

  • Wear eye and face protection and ensure granules are not blown back into your face.
  • Never mix with other chemicals including household cleaners as a dangerous reaction may occur.
  • When pre-dissolving always add product to water and not vice versa.

Handling/Storage

  • Handle products in a well ventilated area - preferably outdoors.
  • Wash hands after use.
  • Ensure chemicals do not become damp in storage - store in a cool dry place.
